Xbox Series X Sets on Fire

An early test revealed that the XBox Series X gets really hot while playing. It did so while playing last generation’s games. If the temperature gets as high as journalist Ken Bogard from Jeux Video claims it did, could this create fear mongering so bad it affects sales for Microsoft? Undecided buyers and XBox enthusiasts alike may remember the red ring of death from the XBox 360, an incident that cost the company a lot of face and 1.15 billion (yes, that’s billion with a b) in console repairs. It still just doesn’t look good, and that just can’t happen again. People will compute that Microsoft rushed the manufacturing process, perhaps to keep up with its rivals over at Sony, at the expense of the quality it has repeatedly promised to the public.
We’re expecting a lot from the next generation of XBox. we have been told it’s the quietest, most powerful, fairly affordable, most backwards compatible system, and that might be too good to be true. Customers don’t want to get burned with an overheating console. With so much uncertainty in the economy, people don’t have tons of expendable income to waste on anything that may not work. With the XBox Series X and S, they’d best be sure they’re sure, as a misfire that large would push the market squarely into Sony’s hands.
