Spider-Man isn’t included in Sony’s Venom movie, and for good reason! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6
After months of rumors and stories, Venom finally hit theaters and gave us no connections to the MCU, no cameos from other superheroes, and definitely NO SPIDER-MAN. But why?! Fans want to know why Sony would even choose to do a Venom movie without Spider-Man involved. Well, we will tell you! The Venom movie not only doesn’t have Spider-Man, but there’s no mention of the hero or his Avengers friends.
By breaking things down, we can figure out that the Venom origin story sticks closely to one from Marvel comics more recent retcon and not the original story everyone knows so well. Plus, why would the movie want to recreate the same scenes Spider-Man 3 did so bad. Who begs god to kill Peter Parker anyway?! Ok, we’re a little off-topic here…anyway Venom is a story that focuses on a new hero. Sure, it may be violent and law-breaking — but it’s still a hero! So we have to follow the journey of Venom and adding Spider-Man to the mix would have made things too complicated. Fans would may have been routing for Spider-Man more and you cannot turn the Tom Holland hero into a villain. Adding a third Spider-man to the mix would be confusing and not make any sense for Sony. So here we are with a Venom solo movie — watch now to see our breakdown of why Venom erases Spider-Man! You’ll learn a lot about the character and truly understand why Venom’s film was set up the way it was.
