The United States and Iran faced off in a must-win situation for the US. The US came out aggressive and got off multiple shots on goal but they did not score. That all changed in the 38th minute when Sergiño Dest found Christian Pulisic with a perfectly timed pass and Pulisic put it into the back of the net. Pulisic was visibly hurt on the play. Wales and England faced off in their third matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In the first half both teams struggled to score. Wales’ Daniel James received a yellow card in the 28th minute. England came out dominant in the second half, scoring back-to-back goals from Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden in the 50th and 51st minute.
