There are so many reasons why we all love Rick and Morty. From the adventures, the inventions, technology, crazy looking characters, and the cynical story lines. But we have to say that our favorite part of the show is the great writing and dialogue. Mostly we get to hear Rick’s cynical and nihilistic viewpoints on everything, but we also get to hear Morty, Beth, Jerry, and Summer throw in some zingers in there too.
One of the best lines is when Rick goes off about his viewpoints on love. He says that it’s just a chemical reaction that causes animals to mate, and that it hits hard and fades quickly. He advises Morty that he would be better off focusing on science.
He also expresses his viewpoint on marriage after Birdperson sends Rick and the family an invite to his wedding. Rick says that weddings are basically “funerals with cake”.
Beth also proves that the one liners are a family trait when she blows up on Rick for making Morty miss an entire semester of school. She says that Morty isn’t a hot girl, and he can’t just bail on his life and set up shop in someone else’s. Beth definitely has jokes as well.
