Shadow Brexit Sec: Triggering a vote of no confidence is a ‘question of when not if’

Shadow Brexit Secretary Sir Keir Starmer shares his thoughts on what the UK should do if the PM does not gain enough votes from MPs on her Brexit deal.

For over two years Theresa May has been working on a withdrawal plan to leave the European Union and today the central policy of her government looks set to be overwhelmingly rejected by the House of Commons. Analysis by Sky News estimates that she will lose by over 200 votes.

If that’s correct, no one knows what will happen next. Britain’s future will be uncertain with the Prime Minister herself warning that we could be heading for a no deal – or no Brexit.
