Liberal Democrat Jo Swinson has spoken after stepping down as leader of the party following her unseating in East Dunbartonshire.
She told supporters she did not regret trying to save “our children’s future in Europe”.
Swinson also said she was proud to have been the Lib Dems’ first female leader, but added: “One of the realities of smashing glass ceilings is that a lot of broken glass comes down on your head.”
