Ex-foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt says the US President’s policy has left foreign actors confused – and that may cause them to make miscalculations that could have catastrophic consequences in the Middle East.
He told Kay Burley that Iran may have thought Donald Trump intended to pull out of the region, and took that as a signal to adopt a more aggressive, expansionist policy.
