How to Make Meringue #Shorts

Separate 3 egg whites from the yolks (save the yolks for another recipe)

Using a hand mixer, stand mixer, or balloon whisk, whip the egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy, about 2 minutes (this will take longer if you’re doing it by hand!)

Gradually beat in 1/2 cup granulated sugar until the egg whites are glossy and stiff, 2 to 3 minutes more

Use for a Baked Alaska or dollop onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake at 250°F until crispy, about 1 hour.
