Vermont senator Bernie Sanders has won the caucuses in Nevada, cementing his status as the front-runner for the Democratic nomination.
In early results, Mr Sanders had 47% of the vote, while former Vice President Joe Biden was in a distant second with 19%. Pete Buttigieg had 15%.
The victory demonstrated Sanders’ broad appeal in the first racially diverse state in the race.
He built on his win earlier this month in the New Hampshire primary and a strong showing in the Iowa caucuses.
