Armistice 100: The ‘Shrouds of the Somme’ unveiled after artist’s five-year project

The life of each and every serviceman killed in the Battle of the Somme is being remembered with the unveiling of an artist’s five-year project.

Rob Heard has made 73,396 shrouds as a stark reminder of the scale of death in the first World War.

Sky’s Lucy Cotter went to see it being unveiled in London in the week of the Armistice centenary.
