There are calls for the government to end the row over same-sex relationship lessons in schools.
For months, protests have been held outside a primary school in Birmingham – leading to mediation talks between the council, parents and staff.
The man in charge of those talks has told Sky News that efforts have broken down.
Nazir Afzal says outsiders who don’t even have children at the school are spreading lies about what’s on the curriculum to inflame tensions. He now wants the government to take a firmer stance in the debate.
