While working on the construction of a new baseball stadium, workers uncovered more than 30 pre-Columbian urns containing human remains in the capital city of Nicaragua. Archaeologists determined that the remains are more than 1,000 years old and that they belonged to Nicaragua’s indigenous people. They hope to learn more about the remains through laboratory analysis. Unlike the Maya and the Inca, very little is known about Central America’s other indigenous tribes.
