The X-Men movies have been going for no less than 18 years now (“X-Men” was released way back in the year 2000), but none of them have seen the level of power being thrown around that will be on show in next year’s Dark Phoenix.
When Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey loses control of her abilities and unleashes the Phoenix, pretty much anything could happen – and that’s a pretty exciting thing to think about!
In this video, we’ll look at just some of the fan theories about the movie that are currently doing the rounds.
The theories in question are; that Jean Grey will actually die in the movie, that Mystique or Magneto will die in the movie, that another X-Man will die in the movie, that Professor X will die in the movie, that it will introduce S.W.O.R.D. (S.H.I.E.L.D.’s space-based counterpart in Marvel’s comic books), that the extraterrestrial Skrulls will appear in the movie, that there’ll be a very specific way in which Jean Grey becomes the Phoenix, that Onslaught will be the villain in the movie, that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will actually appear in the movie (in spite of the fact that the actor is said to have retired from the role), and that it will link to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
