Nickelodeon is supposed to a safe and happy channel. For kids growing up with Nicktoons, episodes features laughs, cheers, and characters we grew to love. Then there were THOSE episodes. You know the ones. The episodes where you couldn’t close your eyes without visualizing some of the horrific visuals. The episodes that actually gave you nightmares as a kid. Well, it’s time to relive those scary times.
On the Rugrats, Chuckie was pretty much scared of everything, but we joined in with him when he spotted a monster under his bed. The transition from a crib to big boy bed was huge, but Chuckie made us all wish we were back in the crib. Pretty much every episode of Invader Zim featured scary moments but the Halloween special really delivered on the nightmarish scares. SpongeBob Squarepants has had plenty of Halloween episodes, but one of the regular episodes gave us nightmares for completely different reasons. Rocko’s Modern Life was a quirky and weird show, but things got really crazy when Heffer went to Heck. The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron was known for aliens and crazy stories, but “One of Us” really made things crazy in the long run. You’ll never look at flights the same again after watching the Ahh! Real Monsters travel upon a plane. Not only did the Angry Beavers stay up all night, but so did anyone who saw the creepy episode that felt like it never ended.
