These MCU villains are still out there waiting to make their comeback! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6
Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Incredible Hulk… You know the heroes by heart, but the villains aren’t so memorable. Maybe this is why they’re so angry and evil in the first place?
Some critics often refer to Marvel’s “villains problem,” in which the bad guys tend to follow similar story arcs in most of their movies. Whether starting out as a friend or foe of our heroes, they have an ulterior motive, they hatch a plan to improve their station and break some laws in the process, they try to take out an Avenger, and they end up regretting it. Usually, the big bads die and our favorite superheroes live to fight another day but are changed in the process. BUT this isn’t always where the arch-villains’ stories end. They might make a surprise cameo appearance in a sequel or be mentioned in a throwaway reference in a prequel comments or “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” one-liner, but do their lives get any more interesting beyond the movies in which they first appear? Well… MAYBE.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is unlike any film franchise we’ve seen before and they’re rewriting the blockbuster template created by movies from the 70’s and 80’s. These stories are driven by an unlimited imagination and a seemingly unlimited budget. If they can show us the floating body of a celestial of deep space they can bring back these smaller villains for bigger curtain calls. If anything is possible, there’s no question we haven’t seen the last of The Collector, Baron Zemo, Baron Mordo, Scorpion, The Mandarin, Abomination, The Grandmaster, Justin Hammer, Zodiac, and Red Skull! Let’s talk it all over on ScreenRant!
