Marvel movies generate a TON of fan theories, and not all of them turn out to be right! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6
The Marvel Cinematic Universe encourages internet theories simply based on the structure of the franchise. Each film more or less leads into the events of the next one, where new and exciting revelations will happen. As fun as internet theories are though, many of them get shot down and Marvel is no exception. For instance, many people thought that the Asgardian Heimdall was the guardian of the elusive soul stone. Vin Diesel, who plays Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, suggested that he was going to play an Inhuman, which led many fans to speculate he would go on to play Black Bolt.
When Spider Man got brought to the MCU, many had hoped it would’ve been Miles Morales who showed up on the big screen instead of Peter Parker. When we got word that Vision was going to be in Age of Ultron, comic book fans thought instantly he would be evil. Adding to the evil theories was the one where many believed Alexander Pierce from Winter Soldier was going to be revealed as Red Skull. Red Hulk on the other hand was a popular theory for a wild card villain in Civil War. Concerning Star Lord’s dad,Adam Warlock was a popular contender and Nathan Fillion was thought to have been cast as Nova in the Guardian films. While he showed up in Thor Ragnarok, Skurge was a popular theory for the villain of Thor 2. Finally, many people thought Captain America was actually going to perish during the events of Civil War.
