Movies are all make believe and magic. Actors have the amazing job of coming in and absorbing the world and becoming the characters and making us believe these roles. When it comes to acting, it’s a well known fact that actors dive deep into the parts they play. They are convincing audiences that they in fact are these characters. Sometimes, the actors are cast because they fit a certain look. Other times the actors undergo physical transformations using prosthetics, makeup, and movie magic is used to convert stars into characters. Today we will be discussing some actors that have become almost unrecognizable.
Such as Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The gorgeous redhead has appeared in the classic sci fi series Doctor Who. But in the Guardians of the Galaxy films and now Infinity War, she is completely unrecognizable as Nebula, Thanos’ adopted daughter.
The most shocking transformation we are looking forward to in 2018? It definitely has to be David Harbour’s transformations from flabby to fit. We know him as Chief Hopper on Stranger Things. His dad bod is one of the most charming things about him. But for his new role as Hellboy, the chubby actor had to lean out and bulk up. And bulk up he did. He looks amazing as Hellboy and we can’t wait to see.
